REMOVABLE DENTURES

IMPLANT-SECURED DENTURES
Securing a denture with implants helps as extra needed stability and strength that can’t be achieved with a removable denture. Dental implants help stimulate the jaw, which helps reduce the risk of bone loss. We will recommend implant secured dentures for patients missing a full or partial arch of teeth.

TREATMENT WITH DENTURES
Dr. Cavanaugh will work with an oral surgeon to place dental implant-secured dentures. Implants require 3-6 months to fuse into the jaw bone fully. The number of implants needed to secure your denture will depend on the type of denture needed to give you the best results. This could be anywhere from two to eight implants.
Once your implants are surgically placed, they will need at least three to six months to heal and completely fuse with the surrounding bone. During the healing process, your surgeon may place a temporary denture. Once the implants have fully healed, a custom-designed denture is crafted to blend seamlessly with your natural smile. With custom dentures, patients can smile confidently again.
